Welfare Allowance & Contribution for Cine Workers From Film Development Board

The Cinema Times, Kathmandu- Film Development Board has provided monthly allowances and contribution for four ill Cine Workers from “Film Welfare Fund”. The team of the Board Chairman Nikita Poudel, Fund Operator Basundhara Bhusal, along with Nepal Film Technical Union’s Chairperson Puskar Lama reached themselves in the house of Cine Workers and observed the health status, then handed over the fund contribution.


The contribution money received from the Cine Worker and litterateur Hari Prasad Rimal and senior Cine Worker Jaynendra Chandra Thakur, has been re-activated, which was stopped for the past four months. Similarly, handed 1 lakh for each; senior Makeup Artists Indra Lama, and successful writer/director Maunata Shrestha.


“Film Welfare Fund” was stopped for past four months as the board chairman came to blank. The services of Welfare Fund reactivated from the appointment of Nikita Poudel. The Fund is providing the help for the Cine Workers, who contributed in Cinema Industry.


Hari Prasad Rimal, Jaynendra Chandra Thakur and Maunata Shrestha are ill since long time, whereas Indra Lama is currently undergoing treatment in Soyambhu, Manmohan Hospital after his kidney failure.
The Board Chairperson Nikita Poudel stated that the film development board formed for the promotion, prospects and enrich of film sector will further expand the self-respect, support and harmony among each of the film workers who plays vital role in the development of film sector.
