Ekdeshma festival to premiere 69 films

Nepal’s pioneering short film festival EKADESHMA is back in its third year. Festival includes 69 compelling and distinctive contemporary films from around the globe. 17 Nepali films and 52 foreign films will be shown among which 17 films will have a world premiere and 52 will have Nepal premiere.

Organizing press meet on Monday Organizer Underground Talkies (UT) informed that movies will be shown from September 19-21 at QFX kumari.

With the motto “Let us come together to create ripples”, the festival will be divided into 2 stages. Among which Nepali and foreign short films will compete under FUL KO MALA segment. There will be panel discussion between aspiring filmmakers, professional directors, producers, actors, cinematographers to share their experience under SUN KO MALA segment.

In the press meet movies trailer where shown that will be premiered on the festival.

The opening films will be Nepal’s “Kafal Pakyo”, Germany’s “wrapped” and India’s national award winning film “Tamaash”. Germany’s “Call Her Lotte” and Nepal’s “Butte Jama” will be festivals closing film.
